When is the award made and what is the maximum period according to the terms? Say from when it is counted and what effects a delay would have on my bid and the guarantees.

The award is scheduled for November 3, 2026. The terms set a period of 20 calendar days from the electronic opening of bids, extendable by up to 20 additional calendar days if the agency reports the reasons and a new date. The schedule date does not literally match the date written in the terms: there it appears as “02.11.2023”.

The schedule section of the administrative terms counts the period from the electronic opening and allows the additional extension. The clause on changes to the terms provides that, if the award is not made within the period, the reasons and the new date are reported in the system. Decree 661/2024, article 58, also requires reporting those reasons and the new deadline when the period in the terms is not met.

The delay does not appear as an automatic cause for losing your bid or for the performance bond to be called: the terms state that the bid remains valid for at least 60 calendar days from notice of the award, and that the 20 business days to deliver the guarantee also run from that notice. The documents do not specify an automatic effect of the delay that extends those periods beyond what is expressly stated.

The tender record publishes the award for November 3, 2026, while the schedule in the terms literally records “02.11.2023”. The counting and extension rule in the terms is stated.

What do I need to get started?

An account, your company’s tax ID (RUT) and a tender. To submit bids from Masnet you also need the Chrome extension and your Mercado Público session.

Does Masnet submit the bid for me?

No. You submit it, with your Mercado Público session. Masnet prepares the bid, sends it through the extension when you say so and verifies on the portal that it was submitted.

Where does Masnet use artificial intelligence?

In reading documents: KIM summarizes the tender terms, answers with the quotes that support each fact and applies guided questions to each tender. It also transcribes voice notes. The decision and the bid remain your team’s.

Does KIM confirm that my bid meets the terms?

No. KIM answers questions about the terms with their evidence. Reviewing compliance and making the decision are up to your company.
